Pro Chaps Chainsaw Protection Safety Chaps by Elvex Sized by Inseam Length Pro Chaps by Elvex uses safety pads made of PROLAR FIBERS. The lightweight Swedish design of knit-weave Prolar fibers “explode” on contact with the running chain; and rapidly jams the saw chain sprocket. The orange outer shell is urethane coated denier which is water, windproof and resistant to oil, mildew, tear, snag, and abrasion. Elvex’s new asymmetric construction gives better coverage of the left side of each leg where most chain saw injuries occur. The 90 series ProChaps conform to ASTM requirements as well as APA Class A requirements. The use of chain saw chaps is required by ANSI standards Z133.1 (2006) for all ground tree care operations.
